I am not sure what is going on either. My flower did this same trick and now we have a hand full of babies. This anemone (rose) is hanging out with flower and now it is doing the same thing. Don't know if them are a mating pair (if that is possible) or if they are both having the babies. I do know that they aren't splitting. Babies are happening.

It's just taking a dump. The anemones would do this once or twice per week depending on how often and how much you feed them. Not linked to reproduction.

Agreed that looks nothing like a spawing event, it also a BTA in which it would split by asexual methods ie..lateral fission, not by sending gamets into the water column.
By the way ameno, You have posted pics of a rock/flower and the RBTA, what is the other one that you have, can you post a pic.

ameno~
As much as I seem to know I'm still no expert.
You appear to have one rock/flower anemeone, 1 RBTA, and what looks like more of a mushroom anemone to me. The last ID is simply my best guess.
What did your LFS say it was when you purchased it?

he never said, but it does look like a mushroom when it's fully out. The flower looks like it's done having babies, so far we've counted about eight of them there maybe more that we just haven't found yet. We purchases some rock from are LPS that has about eight more baby anemones on it so now there are around eighteen anemones in are tank. Anemones everywere were gona have to have a supper sale on anemones before long.
