Hi all,
I thought I would post an update to my other thread.
Tonights news says that they have finally charge the officer for his drunk driving and killing the 20 year old.
He is being charge with murder and being held in jail on a $400,000 bond. Finally justice....

If it happened like you stated, I was pretty sure it would turn out this way. When a state's attorney knows he is going to have to charge a police officer with a serious crime, they will usually take their time to make sure they dot their "i"s and cross their "t"s because those are high visible cases.
I hate the fact that it happened, but if he did it, he needs to be held responsible.
I'm glad you have a little more confidence in the system now. It's far from perfect, but it does work most of the time.

Tangman, I was pretty happy with the outcome, I hate when they show the perosn on tv though, you could tell he was remoresful, he was crying when they took his mug shot. It makes you feel a little sorry for him, until you remember his crime. I did find out a little more, he was speeding doing 60 on a one way street going the wrong way.
I just can't seem to understand why someone would want to get bombed and not only put thier life on the line, but everyone else's that is on the road too. It's crazy!
