Update Of 72 Bow After Small Crash

Here are some pictures of the bow tank after a small crash ,if there is such a thing. The losses were about half of what I had in the tank.
Thats half my coral, half of the fish , and all of the inverts. Still recovering ( its been 3 months since crash) Tank is now just over 1 year.
Sorry pics not to great but I thought I'd share.

Well not really sure but I think It was a series of events. Starting with a powerhead shorting out, killing the inverts and the water became polluted with waste because there were no water changes performed on the tank for 3 months.So I think it started small and snowballed out of control. Unfortunatily I was not around during all this and my tank was being baby sat. There was no way that I could even be contacted during that time so The person i charge of the tank did the very best they could.

Here are a couple before pictures that were taken about a month before the crash, as you can see I have alot more coralline now, but alot less coral ,and fish now. I did a ton of water changes when I got back home. That helped get things under control, except now im fighting hair algea , and bubble algea, wich I never had before all this. :notsure: . I picked up 2 emerald crabs for the bubble , but that hair algea is a pain in my neck, ooooo almost forgot also fighting flatworms. tryed flatworm exit 3 times and those suckers just keep coming back.

Glad to hear some of the stuff was saved. Good luck with everything.
72g bows rule. Gonna git one myself, hopefully in the Spring.

Its a longnose hawkfish , yah they are cool, act like a blenny and hop around from place to place. Sad to say he's in the hawfish graveyard.

very nice tank, before & after.... hey how did your longnose act in your reef?? any problems with inverts or shrimp?
