I haven't posted in a while and thought I would take some pictures today of my 24 gallon nano. I wanted the pictures because I think I am going to move up to a 90 gallon very soon. Most of these fish and coral will go into the new 90.

Love the aquascape. Is that a special top to the 24gallon? Is that a nanocube or what? Thanks. Looks very nice, Barry

It is a 24 gallon JBJ Nano. I bought the DX version with the 2006 came out. The lighting was only 96 watts of PC's stock. It was more than enought to keep softies and fish, but I wanted to start SPS and LPS too. I took the top off and put a Finnex 18'' 175Watt Mh with two 18 watt PC's. It works great
joebob7: what kind of fish do u have in it?
There are:
2 - false percs
1 - golden headed sleeper goby
1 - japanese swallowtail angel
1 - coral banded shrimp (that always hides)
about 12 hermits and 15 snails (not sure if they are still all there)
and two emerald crabs.
The picture of the Rainford Goby was put up by mistake. That one in in my 20 gallon.
I would not recommend the Swallowtail in this small of tank. I bought them to give them a home away from the LFS that had them for 3 weeks. I am putting up a 90 this weekend and she will go in there along with the the clowns and a baby blue hippo tang that I have.

Are the sun polyps the ones you got a the reef meeting at the critter? How have they done for you so far? It looks like it could be a pain to spot feed them without disturbing the other rock around it.

It is the same Sun Coral that I got there. I put in in my 20 gallon and it did terrible. about 4 polyps died. I moved it to the cave in the 24 gallon and turkey baster feed it three times a week. It is doing much better now, even got a few new polyps.
The clowns are hosting a very tight colony of green stars. There are two different types on the rock. They love that thing. I just hope the move to the 90 gallon in a few weeks goes well for them.

HOLY CRAP....I came home the other day and the nano 24 in the pictures was so cold it was not even reading on the thermometer. Below 62 that is.......!!!!!!!!!!!!! I found all my fish laying on the bottom barely breathing and most of my corals shriveled up. I go into panic mode......

I got the fish out of the tank and floated them in my other 20 gallon nano to warm them up. I had to go out and buy a new heater as the one I had was out. LUCKY that WALMART sells a couple of things at 1 am. It took about a week, but seems like everything came back well. I didn't lose anything except a kenya tree.....but that didn't bother me since I have about 10 in the other tank......
