I have a couple of questions for the experts here. I am in the process of setting up a 125g tank. I have the sand in now and will add 180 lbs. of LR on Friday. This tank is going to be an upgrade from a 65g I have that has been running for 9 months. The question I have is when the cycle is done on the 125g (I am thinking 4-6 weeks), should I move all the contents of the 65g all at once or should I move a few things at a time every week? I have about 7 fish and 6 corals in the 65g. What would you guys suggest?
I also I have a question on lighting the new tank. This will be a mixed reef tank, so I want to be able to keep anything I want. The tank dimensions are 60x18x24. I have T5’s on the 65g but I was thinking of adding MH to this tank. Do you guys think 2 150w DE MH on this tank will work for me? I was thinking of getting the Current Outer Orbit light? I don’t mind keeping some of the more light demanding corals a little higher in the tank. I live in SoCal so electricity is not cheap here and would like to go with the 150w instead of the 250w of MH. It's a Clear for Life 125g acrylic tank
