You can always add another power head I replaced the stock powerhead in my 24ap with the Maxi-jet 1200 and just put another MJ600 on the other side to increase the flow.

I have a Aquapod 24gal and replaced the stock pump with had 290 gph with a RIO 1100 which has 382gph and Im very happy with it.. it was a direct swap
