Upgrading from 2 nanos to a 72

I purchased a new setup yesterday, going to pick it up this weekend. It is a 72 bowfront RR from all glass. It has a remora pro skimmer, sump and plumbing (don't recall what model of pump), and coralife aqualight with 2 X 150 watt MH and 2 pc. I currently have 2 24 gallon aquapods with the 150 watt MH Sunpod on each. I have about 40 lbs of marshal LR and I keep only zoos and rics and two fish. I purchased 100lbs of dry base rock to add as well. My question is how slow do I need to go? Can I just add some new live sand, the base rock, and about 20 gallons of new water and then empty both tanks (water, sand, rock, etc) into the new one or will the new tank go through a decent cycle because of the new LS and dry base rock? Any advice is appreciated.

your base rock will not cause a cycle, the sand you are going to use is it from a tank ?? if so it shouldn't cycle that bad if at all, if you use all your water and top off with fresh salt water, also you can use some of your existing sand to also help with getting necessary bacteria in the new tank, do not clean your filters when you transfer from your old tank,if your going to use any of them. when I switched from my 125 to my 8 foot 180 I used everything including the sand and 200 pounds new base rock and never had any cycle
. you should be fine just take your time and have fun moving all the old stuff to the new tank
, it's better to get the aquascapeing the way you want it right off then monkey with it after a week or so after the move...I am speaking from experience.
