Upgrading Light Fixtures

I'm receiving new T5 lighting tomorrow and I wanted to know if I have to acclimate the coral in my tank to the new light strength. Currently I have the standard single strip light that comes with the tank set up for my 29 gallon reef tank, I think it's a 20 watt Coralife 50/50. The tank is 18 inches deep, with coral placed at every level. The light I'm receiving tomorrow is 96 watts and consists of 4 bulbs, two actinic blues and two full daylight bulbs. I have a lot of coral in the tank but it hasn't been growing, just living, so I'm getting the T5. I have my current lights on for about 12 hours a day. There are zoos, mushrooms, button polyps, green star polyps, and a chili coral. Only the chili coral is thriving, it's hanging in a cave with flow on it so it's happy. We want to add plate coral, brains, and possibly others. Anyway, we just need to know if we need to adjust the coral we have to the new light at all. Thanks!

You could run a reduced photoperiod for a few days and slowly add time, or put a few layers of screen between the lights and the tank, or a combination of the two.
