Upgrading my tank this weekend

Hey everybody, I'm upgrading my tank this weekend from a 20 gallon to a 34 gallon red sea max and I was wondering what was the best way to change tanks? I'm planning on redoing my sandbed too...is it as easy as it sounds; just sand, the rock, they water, then coral then fish?

Use your old filters from your old tank for a little while. Keep your old water to use in the new tank and mix some new saltwater to top it off at the same salinity. Mix up some new water for a water change if you start to get an ammonia spike. Test your water for a couple of days to make sure everything is fine.

The amount of beneficial bacteria in the water column is minimal. Be sure to have a good amount of saltwater on hand. This way if a spike occurs you will have water on hand to do a water change.
