Upgrading Questions

I have had my 125 going for a little over a year now and just recently purchased a 220( I think?) (8 x 2 x 2) oceanic tank with an overflow in the center. I am not at all familiar with these types of tanks. I have a hang on protein skimmer on the back and heaters and powerheads in the tank. Now I really don't like all that clutter in the tank but I am not sure whether or not it is too much trouble to run all the pipes and everything under the tank. But my question is does the tank with overflows need all the plumbing or can I just set it up like my tank is now. What do you guys suggest? Thanks

I would install a sump, plumbing a sump is very easy especially if you use flex pipe and you can make a sump out of an old aquarium, some acrylic panels, and silicone.

good comparison though :)
Man that better be one heck of a nice lawnmower!
In all seriousness though, why in the world would you spend the xtra money on a predrilled tank, and not set up a sump?
