heres what i would do.
get some dry marco rock and scape your 125g in your new house. when you do a water change, use your waterchange water and put it in your 125g. then fill up the rest of it with salt mix and ro/di water. take some pieces of live rock out of your 55g and put it in the 125g. use new dry sand, not live sand. your established live rock will side your dry rock and dry sand. let it cycle itself, add a shrimp to help it start ammonia. once its cycled, transfer everything else over. stirring up established sand will release pollutants into your water and can cause a crash.

Im no expert but If thats all the time you have then here is what i would do. if you have broken down your tank for move before i would do that and then set it up again at new location so you can go through the process nikeSB said to do. It may be a pain but way better chance of things getting started right in the 125g. Also how far is the move?

I would set up the 125 at the new place, transfere all of your rock, sand and livestock in buckets and totes and put it all in the 125. Keep all of your filter media with the 55g and set it up as at the new house as a temporary quarantine. It will be easier to do water changes and monitor the fish for stress while the 125 cycles. Get some amquel puss or something along those lines to help with amonia if need be. That's what I've done in the past.

If I put regular sand in the new tank would that be ok since I can't put new live sand. I was gonna put fish and coral in a 20 g for a week just to make sure 125 is ok. Was gonna fill 20g with water from 55 and then put rest of water in 125 and fill with new water with my live rock. Should I just use my old sand or would new not live sand be. Better

Why can 't you put new live sand in? What kind of fish do you have and how many will be going in to the 20 for the week?

Two clowns two damsels and yellow tang. The tamg is only about inch and half big. New live sand will start a new cycle
