Welp we had a little bit of an ice storm last friday. Luckly we saved our marroon clown fish from our 46g when the power went out. Sadly our oscars didn't make it that were in our 75g. Only positive from that is that I get to turn our 75g into saltwater. Going to move everything equipment wise upstairs. Going to need a stronger return pump to get more flow though.
My real question is that we had a Marineland C-360 canister filter on the fresh water. Would this be of any use once I convert over??? What would I fill the trays with?? Put a little over $200 into that thing about 2 years ago and would hate to just discard it if it could be useful. Thanks

I keep a canister filter running on my 75g reef tank.
I only keep carbon and a phosphate pad in there (i.e., no sponge filters, ceramic rings, etc.) and I clean it every 2-3 weeks.
