Whats the deal and other info on these? are these reef safe? Maz sizE? what they eat? anytihng else?
LFS always has them for sale and I was just wanting to know..
I know id have to put some sponges over the powerheads and what not, but dont know anything else about them And my girlfriend has been wanting one and shes falling for the LFS sale. So im just wanting to know some info about them

Don't know much, but the only real thing keeping them from being reef safe is the fact that they don't fasten to anything. This means that powerheads that most reef tanks require would blow them around, stressing them out, causing them to sting other corals, and in the end shredding them up. They need a tank w/ low current. However they are photosynthetic like most corals. I've always wondered if you could just dab glue on their "head" to something like an abalone shell.

As far as reef-safe, its a jellyfish, definitely not safe with nearly anything, except maybe in a loggerhead turtle tank.
