i have a 20L with a 10g sump as a frag system...i have live rock, live sand, chaeto, calp...all in the fuge. i have live rock in the tank also. many may look at it like its a nano. but its only used for a frag tank...
well my problem is i keep lookin at the sump and not seeing a skimmer there. i want to add one. really dont need one, but mind over matter. i wont be happy till i see a skimmer on there. honestly i want it to do its job, but not tryin to spend extra money when not needed.
what skimmer would work for my needs on this particular set up.....
thanx

I have a CSS65(coralife), never been used(don't have the box though). I was going to use it on a 29 gallon that is not going happen now. I can let it go for $50 if you want. I have never used one, so I can't say how it worked or not. If you want it let me know. Have a good one.

reg. water changes on a tank that small and you really dont need one. The small ones dont do enough and the big ones pull out too much
thats what I have learned from ALLOT of reading about skimmers in general and especially the "nano" skimmers , again JMO

yeah i know, but the thought that the frags would go into cleaner water just gets me...i was also thinking the air stone ones, cause they seem like they would pull out just enough, but with having a 30g frag system not to many skimmers work..i was looking at a tunze nano skimmer. but at a 150 bucks. not sure if i want to go that high on something thats not really needed.... im stuck..

reg WCs are always a good thing. I would think that any small skimmer, an air driven one or even a seaclone would just add to the WCs.

i kno i dont need one, but i really feel like i shud get one. i have two very small clowns in this tank. then are about a 1/2" and smaller. so waste is not really a problem, but i think a moderate skimmer that will pull some waste out will be worth it, the problem is i dont want an overkill skimmer on this to where i have to add trace elements. but honestly i have that weird feeling that a cheap skimmer mite work...not going to buy a cheap one. but i think what a cheap skimmer would produce would be beneficial and not overkill.....
