urgent: I need help!

Hey
I am new to this message board and i am going to try it out.
I am about to go to my local aquarium store and get some stuff for my tank. I decided to try this message board out because in my past tanks i have made some dumb mistakes. i was wondering if anyone out there knows what i should get. I was planning on getting some invertebrates and/or coral. I would also like to know what kind of fish to get. I think i need a lot of help because i dont want to waste my money again.
I am not sure what section to put this under so i just put it under this thing.
My tank is cycled.

Well IMO you should take out the cc and put in a DSB. This will be some work but will be worth it in the long run. Next you will need a protien skimmer to remove liquid waste from your tank. What kind of lighting do you have on your tank? How did you cycle your tank? What are your current water readings?

Zander - Your going to get a lot of advice about putting in a DSB or Deep Sand Bed. Before you run off and do that, I implore you please read up on sandbeds and substrate, they need care and maintanence just like any other living thing. Just like anything else that you might put in your tank like say a fish, you need to first lookup the fish and find out what it's needs are..ie what it eats, does it jump (out of the tank), does it get along with some other type of fish..you know what I mean.
