OK I bought two URI bulbs and when I buy long bulbs for my garage lighting I always flip them in a full 360 degree arc to make sure nothing rattles - I did not do this with the bulbs I bought ... when I got home I thought I should do that .... and one of them rattled - does this mean it is shot to hell??
Kicking myself - shot the LFS an e-mail and will call them on Tuesday as they are closed now .... jhust disgusted as it is a long a-- drive for me to get back down there .....

I'm not to sure if it is shot or not. Have you tried putting it in your sockets and lighting it up?

Slick - thanks for the reply ~
I just wired up the ballast and the end caps quickly and it fired. Freaked me out - spending $20+ for a 24 inch VHO bulband hearing it rattle ......

It just freaked me out!! especially since hte only place in town that had lights was like a 30 minute drive in no traffic and normally a 45 minute drive (no easy highway access). PLus I am going to be stuck @ work so I would not be able to get back and return it for around two weeks ....
