use for HOB Filters

sick and tired of having HOB filters laying around from the "old" days of your fish hobby? i have the solution! and it has been working for me!
TURN IT INTO A MANGROVE FARM haha

Good idea, like a hob fug.
Do mangroves need any type of substrate for the roots?

i just have them sitting in my media baskets in my filters, and the roots have used that to cling onto and interweave themselves to for stability
i was going to fill the baskets with CC but decided to just see if they take off without it and they are haha
