i am new to the slatwater family..so i have a lot of question..but 1st i got a puffer from a buddy and it had ich so i had to treat my tank..this came about afther i got him.. he told me... what a friend..but n.e.ways.. i didnt know if i should put my filters back in it said to take out carbon.. i did but i just lost a yellow angel today an i dont know why all my other fish look fine.. i do have a snowflake eel and i am tring to get him to eat other food.. he was on krill..and i have been trying to get him to eat feed fish too..there r a few in the tank..they come frozen..so ..i dont know if that had some thing to do with it.. plz help..an no i havent gotten the tester besides the salt levels..

Welcome to the site…
Take out carbon means you remove the carbon but still run the filter.
To help you need to answer a few questions:

• How old is your tank?
• Did you add the puffer or get it with everything else.
  You really, really need a marine master test kit…like yesterday.
  What size is the tank?

^ yeah we are not gonna be able to help alot without this info.
One thing that jumps out at me though...if I understand correctly you said there is dead feeder fish that came frozen in your tank, correct? You will get some ammonia spikes from this which can kill your fish real quick.

tank size is 55 gallonThe frozen fish are called silver side for feeding the eal. My tank is two months old the puffer came one his own.. i had dansiles and clown fish and a russ angel snowflake eel coral banded shrimp..and the puffer..and the yelloew and angel..but he is died now..just today..and i just started feeed the silver sides last night.. the puffer was just droped in last week and maybe days before that the yellow angel.. i also have live rock and the thing that the clown fish like..they dont really seem to like it like they say tho..a feather duster, purple erchent.. the filter has the carbon on it it is a marineland and it uses penguin filters200... i also have another filter that runs in the tank and i left the filters in there but took out the carbon .. how do u post pic i will show u if u give me and e mail too..i will send them from my phone.. thankz alot

The “thing” the clown fish like??? Are you talking about an anemone?
An anemone shouldn’t be in a tank less than 6 months old

What kind of lights do you have? An anemone needs very strong lights.
I am no puffer expert, but I think the puffer will eat the damsels and maybe killed the angel. Damsels are mean fish too, but I don't think they can be in with a puffer.

yes i am taking bout those i gopt them from another guy who itraded my dubs for... them the live rock and eel and some other stuff for the tank... i just bought the test kit they didnt have the master one so i got laborett waterr test kit it test ph, kh , gh, no2, co2, nh3/nh4.. the lights came with the thing the clowns like.. and live rock i have the blue light and purple light.. dont no the watzz....i just a new guy who doesnt knowanythng..slap me if u wanna

0 i also got this stuff called cycle to reduces fish loss. it says beneficial bateria it reduces dangerous ammonia and nitrite levels
