Using RedCyano Rx question!?

Hello guys!
My tank started to grow red algae so I used "RedCyano Rx" but "smart" me I forgot to do the water change after the 24 hours
.... The red algae hasn't disappeared, it's still the same as before I added the supplement. Can I add more of the supplement? Will it put my fish in danger if I do it again? and this time do it the right way.
It's a 20 gallon tank so I added 2 level scoops because its 1 for every 10 gallons.
PLEASE HELP!
THANK YOU!!

Hi,
Actually if you do the water change.... at least a little each week...maybe 2 gallons. The cyanobacteria will go away without the RX stuff. Overfeeding, low water flow, using tap water instead of RO (reverse osmoses) and not doing regular water changes all contribute to your problem, and why you have it in the first place.

So I'm not to late then (for the water change)?
I dunno why I have it
. I don't over feed them. I don't use tap water. I'm constantly testing the water. I change about 30% of the water, every month. If anything it might be the water flow but I was told that the power head that I'm using for my tank is perfect for them. It's a power head 110 MAX GPH.

Hi,
Here is a little trick you can try...Take a wodden dowel stick and attach a piece of plastic ribbon on the end.... and then place it in different areas of the tank...if the ribbon goes down flat...no flow...where the ribbon really flaps away...high flow. That trick will also help you place corals...some want low flow some high and some in between. However a no flow to very weak flow and that is where the nutrients build up and allow cyano to develope. Phosphates are what it eally feeds on, if you have high PO4 you will have a problem.
Oh, and it is never too late to do a water change..HOWEVER, when you dose a tank do not dose again if the instructions call for a water change, always do the water change before you continue and add more. Always follow instructions to the letter when you dose anything into your tank.
