I have a question about the possibility of using my lateral filing cabinet as a stand for a 75 gallon tank that I would have built. The lateral filing cabinet is made of wood I think cherry. It has an 1 1/4" thick top with 1/2" walls and 1/2" to 3/4" rear wall. It has a steel reinforced bar that spans the length from right to left inside the cabinet along the front top screwed into the left and right sides of the cabinet.
I currently have my 20 gallon on top of it and was thinking what if I had a 75 gallon (36x24x20) tank built to go on top of it. Would the cabinet sustain the weight.
