Using undersink water filter

I have been using water from my drinking water tap on my sink. The water runs through a GE two stage filter under my sink. I then put in some AquaSafe.
How does the quality of this water compare to tap or RO water?

I agree 100%. NOTHING takes the place of RO/DI. Some people have better water than others but generally, TAP is not good at all for a sw tank. Algea blooms all the time and unwanted metals etc.

Can you recommend a unit that is reasonable priced.

If it's a GE Smartwater filter it should be an RO unit already. Not as good as a 3-4 stage RO/DI unit, but still way better than tap water.

i use the ge smart filter.it seems to work good.if you put in the carbon cartridge it will work much better.
