uv and reverse osmosis

i currently have a 200 gallon with 2 oscelerous clowns and 4 yellow chromis.should i install a uv light or a reverse osmosis system or both

Well, a UV and and RO system are really 2 different things. An RO or better yet, an RO/DI system is a very good idea as this is the easiest way to insure that you have good quality water going into your tank. A UV on the other hand is pretty much an optional piece of equipment. Many people swear by them and others do not use them at all. Personally, I dont see the need for a UV filter.

If you can do both the great, but if I had to make a choice you'll see more of a benefit from an RO/DI....

The problem with UV is that it would kill good things too right? I say unless something is wrong why mess with it?
