I know that many water parameter factors contribute to Red Slime algae, but do UV filters aid in removal and prevention?

Probably not, the UV sterilizer only gets stuff thats circulating through the water column. It certainly can't hurt things, but I've read/heard you might be better off only running it every other day or something like that. Lasts longer and easier on any beneficial stuff.

i used to run my UV every other day, at first i ran it 24/7 for the first year, then i decided to see if there was a difference, which there isnt running it on and off. I still get cyno when i get lazy and feed to much to often (which i am trying to cut down on but dont they always look hungry???)...
