UV steralizer

What exactly is a UV steralizer, and how do they work. What is the price range for one for a 125 gal tank.
Currently I have a spotted puffer, 1 porky, and 1 niger, 1 SFE
what else would be a good addition?

UV sterilizers if used under the proper flow, will kill bacteria, protozoa, algae spores, micro-organisms, arguably fish diseases as they pass through. While the wattage is debated, particuarly if you just want nuisance algae or disease control. I'd probally look at a 16/25-40w range of sterilizers. You're looking at between $110 to $240 depending on the wattage and brand.

I agree with Daniel...but I suggest you check ---- for UV...I got two cheap there. You never know if you'll get lucky.

Definitely try ----... just got a JEBO 18w UV sterilizer including the pump for $72 including shipping. Great deal and works great.
