I have a 9 watt UV sterelizer on my 29g tank with a rio 400 pump. My question is whether the pump should be at the bottom of the tank or at the top of the tank? Where would it be more effective to catch harmful parasites and bacteria???
I got the UV because I cannot seem to get rid of some crazy problem my chromis have. They shake/twitch and rub against the LR. I have fed garlic for 2 weeks straight and the problem seems to get better and then worsen. The fish still have great color and eat well. They seem fine except for the twitch/shake. This has been going on for like 3 weeks now and I cannot kick the problem. Too many inverts and 30pds of LR so I cannot add copper Meds. Anyway hopefully someone can help me on where to position the pump for the UV.
