I have a 55gal FOWLR, 15gal sump/refugium. Installed 9 watt. U.V. sterilizer in the sump. What should the on/off cycle be?

run it 24/7 at least i do but im sure others will do differently
Does anyone run it on a cycle? There is much debate about whether to use one or not but if you have one it should use it 24/7

Agreed. IMHO, a UV sterilizer is a good thing for most systems. The problem is that they are frequently (always?!) WAY under-rated in the manufacturer's literature. Do you have it runing on a closed loop in the sump, or is it inline on the return?
