Question for anyone that can help. My pump went out on my protein skimmer and was wondering if I could go a month or two with just my UV Sterilizer before I purchase a new pump?
UV sterilizer dosen't remove what a Skimmer does. However, yes you can run without a skimmer. They are not 100% neccessary. Youll need to increase rate and size of water changes to remove what the skimmer usually did.
