I have an aquanetics but I don't really know how you would know one is better then the other. UV's are a little act of faith. Not like a skimmer or filter that you can actually see working and how well they are doing their job. Difficult to quantitate how well one UV does compared to another.

I use an Angstorme 2537 Sterilzer its 8Watts .It is campack and from what i read about it was a good choise.

I have a Nursery Pro U.V. Water Clarifier 2000 that I would like to sell. I'm not sure that it will fit your needs but its fairly new. I the bulb was used for about a month and I have a new replacement. I believe its a 9 watt u.v. bulb with 1 " fittings.

I believe theat the AQUA ULTRALIOLET is the BEST there is..Many other members here agree. The company has been around a LONG time, and only makes UV's.No filters,no pumps, nothing but UV.Thier bulbs are rated at 14 months. That is at least two months longer than anyone else out there.Plus thier wipeer option ROCKS.I have a 15watt with the quartz sleeve, wiper, and gold pins on the bulb...I LOVE IT...As for actually seeing any improvement after it's installation,,,YES.Yourwater clarity will improve greatly with the right unit...I would highly reccomend looking into AQUA's line.
