Vacation TO DR

I just got back from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and have some pics from snorkling that i will post soon. I got to swim with some really big Nurse sharks and some rays and other small fish. I was wondering if i could put some sand and water and rock that i brought home from DR into my tank, I put the sand and water in a water bottle. Will the bacteria be good for the tank? My tank is already cycled so i guess it wont help that much.

First - some of this can be illegal and I wouldn't encourage it at all :) You may have made it past the inspectors but it is not a habit to encourage :nope:
Depending on how long the rock has been out of water (or is this dry rock?) it could be an issue.

It is just some small pieces of white rock that was found 2 steps in the water outside my hotel..its nothing crazy, and the rock im not expecting to be live, i'm def gonna rinse the rock off and put it in, it is less than a pound of rock. And the sand and water is in like a 24 oz water bottle, I didnt take anything crazy, sorry if i didnt explain it good enough.,i just wanna know if i should put the sand and water in..

i really wouldn't recommend putting in wild sand and rocks because you really don't know what kind of bacterias might be living in it. It may kill all your fish or produce a deadly virus so don't do it.

Ok thanks, i guess its not worth it since my tank is running fine right now. I will just boil some of the rocks and shells and put them in.

IMO you could boil the rocks for about 10-15 minutes. That should kill anything in them. Then you could add them to your tank.....
Cant wait to see the photos...
