vacuum, syphon, or plain tube?

What works best for cleaning the debris on bottom. I saw a battery operated vacuum which looked like garbage then I saw a syphon kit with a hose and a plastic head to put in the sand, or would it be best just to buy a piece of tubing and use that and a bucket. How big should the tubing be?

Try the "Python" it works great and you can attach it to your kitchen sink to create the suction. They also come in different lengths. Hope this helps.
