i just have a question on his coloring. During the day he looks great, but at night, once i turn off the lights, hell purch on a rock for the night, to sleep i guess. But i noticed when im looking in my tank at night with a flashlight for any life that i didnt know was there, like hitch-hickers, and if i shine the light where he is on the rock, he is usualy very pale. Esspecialy in between his eyes. Sorry but i dont have a digital camera to take a picture of it. But i was just wondering if they had the ability to change colors a bit or osmething. Like to camoflage when he is sleeping to the live rock. Because ive only see it when he is perched on the live rock, and he only realy perches at night.
thanks guys

to my knowledge, most puffers have the ability to semi-camo. The porc I had let his mood be known by colors. Haven't had a Val vet but I would assume they can change to escape predators
