Are Valentini Puffers reef safe? I bought one the other day and it seems to be eating at my mushrooms, algea, polyps, ect. Is this normal? Will he kill them?

Yes, normally that is what carnivorous fish like puffers, groupers, wrasses, and triggers do. Maybe once out of 50 or 60 times you will get one that remains pretty gentle with your reef. Yours is their natural behavior however.
