Velocity T-4 vs. Quiet one 6,000

I have a 55 gallon tank and am currently running an Iwaki pump rated for 1300GPH for my return. This pump is extremely loud and I am trying to find the quietest pump I can. I am down to two candidates. The manufactures claim the following:
Quiet One 6,000 (less than 45db)
Velocity Titanium T-4 (less than 30db)
I find it very hard to believe that the T-4 is quieter than a submersible pump.
Anyone that has experience with these pumps please let me know what you think. I am not really worried about the GPH on these just noise level. Both are more than sufficient in GPH for a 55 gallon tank, IMO.

What size pump would everyone recommend for a protein skimmer on a 55 gallon tank. Total water volume is probably around 65 gallons. Protein skimmer is a downdraft model.

When they say the Quiet one pumps run at less than 45db do you think they mean externally at less than 45db or submerged?

I know they are the quietest external pump, maybe with the exception of those red dragon. I am interested in which pump is quieter, a submerged Quiet One or a External T-4.
According to manufacturers the T-4 is quieter, but I am not sure if the decibel claimed for the Quiet one is with in-line, or sump use.

no one?
Alright, well if I do not get a response before bed I am going to order a T-4. Will let everyone know how it goes.

I don't know anything about the T4's but the Quiet One pumps are very quiet, I run a 3000 on my tank and I know someone who runs two 6000 on his and I can't hear them standing next to his tank. My biggest complant is they are very difficult to disassemble to clean, but customer service is excellent.

I would say externally because I don't think they are anywhere near 45db submerged.

thanks for the response, but too late now. I went ahead and bought the T4. Probably would have got the Quiet one if I would have heard this earlier. Thanks anyways though. I will get a quiet one for my skimmer!
