OK, my tank has been empty of fish for 2 weeks now, and I"m geting ready to order the new guys since I will quarantine them for a few weeks first.
Not sure what I had, so I want to be sure the tank stays empty long enough for any nasties to croak w/o a host. I've heard here, but not in any other articles, that if you had velvet , then the tank has to sit for 60 days? According to most articles I've read, in 70+ degree temp, the life cycle is 6-12 days, and the free floating form can survive up to 15 days w/o a host..thta makes 27 dyas max plus a few to be sure. Right?
