There is a very good article about sump overflows on ReefKeeping.com. Sumps and overflows are topics I have never paid much attention to since I didn't have a way to use one. However, I've been trying to read up on them since a sump is something that I'd eventually like to run on my tanks.
The article is part 1 of a series of articles explaining all the ins and outs of sumps. This uniformed mind found it very educational. I only wish they addressed how to implement an overflow on a non-drilled tank.
