Very upset!

I found place several, several states away that had pretty zoanthids[learned to live with problem of palytoxin, lol].Small shipment of 4 zoo frags and 1 aussie acans supposed to arrive by 5PM today.DHL was supposed to deliver it-they were shipped out yesterday afternoon. I was already worried that they might not be in the best of shape by the time they arrived. When they hadn't arrived by 4:30, I thought I would give DHL a call. Well they said the driver couldn't find our house, and would try again tomorrow. Now they had not even called us or tried to get in touch at all. I tried explaining that these were live animals and probably wouldn't be alive tomorrow, but they didn't give a ----! I then gave the company I ordered them from- they guarantee they will arrive alive. He assured me they would be OK. But just in case they didn't make it, he would refund me part of my money. What kind of guarantee is that? Do any of you think they will be alive? I live in Ga. and the daytime highs get in low 90's and nighttime low's in low 70's. Can anyone give me any hope?

I wouldn't be happy about it either but I am pretty sure they will be alright, zoos are pretty tough critters but if for some reason they don't arrive alive I would insist on a full refund from the company since they gave you a guarantee.
Just hope that the driver finds your house this time...

Most corals are tougher than we give them credit for. It's not acceptable what they did so you need to have the shipper contact DHL for a refund on the shipping part, then the shipper should give you a credit on your next order or possibly give you a refund check for the shipping part, but it has to be the shipper that contacts DHL, or atleast thats how UPS works.

....i wouldnt be surprised at all if they are just fine to. I would be MADDER then all hell. I would want my full refund from the store if they where dead not partial. you cant pay them partial to what they want and they send you frags. if they dont give u the full refund for what ever is dead..post the site name and everyone can pass the word about their crappy service on they arrive alive..once they hear u will do that i bet they refund u it all

agreed with above, most likely will be ok....but i would most definitely be furious if they didnt offer a full refund if they guarantee it...and i would push very hard to get it all back.

also, try to get a refund on the shipping even if the items show up alive. DHL has guaranteed service and if it is one day shipping, they usually refund the SHIPPER the money, who in turn would refund you.

Well they delivered my corals today at 3:eek:o. Everything looks like it's gonna be alright. But I called DHL before they got here and all they said was sorry about the inconvenience, but the courier should be here shortly. I'm mad about that because I paid for delivery 24 hours earlier than that. But I'm mainly happy because the aussie acans is gorgeous! Wish I had a camera. Thanks to you and to everyone else for making me feel better yesterday!

I'm glad you got your stuff today and it is ok, maybe the driver will remember how to get there the next time, hope everything goes well.

Ive worked for UPS and know for a fact that DHL stinks. A UPS driver would have gone out of his way to make the delivery even if it would have taken another 30 minutes.
