Very weird thing in my tank

Hey everyone, my wife noticed something really weird gorwing on one of my LR. I never even noticed it and I doubt I can take a picture of it. It's like a small anemone, except the tentacles are completely transparent with bright pink tips. At first I only saw the tips, then if I looked at it from an angle I could see the tentacles too but they're clear. Anyone knows what this is? I imagine some sort of anemone?
Thanks!

Probably (Pseudocorynactis caribbeorum) Orange Ball Corallimorph, does it look like this? Is your rock from the Caribbean?

Yes, that's exactly what it looks like, except the tips are pinkish in color. Not sure where the rock came from. I bought it about 6 months ago from a LFS. It's weird that it showed up in this tank because it's not really a reef tank.

Hee hee, The fact that you put in live rock with the chance for reef hitchers makes it a reef in my mind. So is this critter kind of out of sight, on the underside of a rock, in the shade somewhere? That is where you will find them out in the open water.

Yeah, it's on the left side of the tank sort of under an overhang. That's why I never noticed it. The only 2 fish in the tank are a fuzzy dwarf lion and a zebra moray. There are some corals too... some star polyps, xenia and mushrooms. But the tank isn't set up as a reef, with the right lights. It just has regular PC lights.

This critter will be fine in your tank. Let it be and enjoy it when you think about looking at it. No need to spot feed or any real care needed.
