VHO ballast?

Hi,
A bit confused.
VHO ballast question here.
There seems to be a lot of people the like IceCap Ballasts... but I know Coralife also makes a ballast. Is the coralife ballast not as good or just more expensive?
How about a no name VHO ballast... are these two manufacturers making a ballast that is specialized to reef aquariums?
It is possible to find VHO ballasts from other manufacturers that are much less expensive & I'm wondering if they serve the same function just as well?

Advance Transformer make VHO ballast, but they don't make electronic ballast they only make Magnetic ballast for VHO, it's heavier, hotter cheaper etc, I got 2x110 ballast for $50 running just fine.
