VHO ballast???

Icecap sells a electronic ballast thats dimmable
and Hellolights sells a electronic ballast thats not dimmable. Should I get the dimmable.
Also do both ballast give the same amount of bulb life?

from my understanding, dimmable ballasts greatly shorten the life of the bulbs. i think your better off getting the non-dimmable ballast unless you feel like buying new bulbs every other month or so.

I also think the Icecap ballasts are great. I don't have a dimmer yet, but plan to. I have a 660 and have been very pleased with it. If you plan on more than one ballast, I would not do the dimmer. But if you are just going to have one ballast I would do it. The dimmer uses a ground plane that is supposed to allow the dimming without dammage to the bulb.
