VHO endcaps??

Anyone have thoughts on using rubber endcaps vs. "German" endcaps for VHO? A LFS suggested that I use rubber ones.

i use the PVC ones. they are supposed to last like twice as long. this was what i was told by my LFS. the VHO's get really really hot. I would not be suprised if it melted down the rubber endcaps.
