VHO? Magnetic vs electric ballast?

Whats the difference as far as performance and bulb life is concerned. I know the magnetic is 50 to 100 dollars cheaper.

The electronic ballast does'nt get hot,and is less likely to wear out.I'v been told that the magnetic ones get very hot and eventually need maintenance.

Does this affect bulb life?

Electronic ballasts run cooler and are more efficient than magnetic ones. Regardless of which one is used they will all die in time. And bulb life should not be affected using either or.

It will not effect the bulb life at all.And the electronic will be around for alot longer.
