VHO Question?

I am about to order my new VHO lighting. I have 1 Icecap 660 running 3 5' VHO's and im about to order another Icecap to run 3 more bulbs. First do i have to buy a wire set to go with the ballast or does it already come with it. Second what bulbs would be better, I want to get 3 actinic and 3 others, but would it be better to get the URI Actinicwhite that are a 50/50 12K and Actinic or the Aquasun 10K bulbs?

First, it depends on the ballast set. I have seen several Ice Cap sets that come with the wiring harness and end caps... and serveral that don't. Check the receipt, or your order list it should detail whether it does/doesn't. As has been posted before, VHO's have an excellent actenic color. I have seen a 75 mush' tank with three 110watt actenics and one 10K and the effect is dazziling. The more actenic the less growth but the color enhancment is worth it. If it was my Tank, I would run four actenic's and two of the 50/50's. Either way it will look great!
