Video Converting Software?

Is there any kind of software that i can buy to convert my dvds into an MP4 format that would be compatible for my video ipod? I know theres some free programs online, but my mom said she would just feel better with a program we bought.
Also if anyone knows of any reliable online programs, that would be great

(I assume links to non competitors sites are ok since SWF doesn't sell DVD software)
FYI with DVDCopy you may need Slysoft's AnyDvd to get past the DRM

I use cucusoft dvd to ipod converter. It's so easy, you just pop in the dvd and it rips it right into ipod format.
