Here's my little protégé, my 5 year old daughter, Aria.
I am rearanging our tanks and putting her in charge of her 15 gallon tank. I walked her through all the cleaning, water changing, filter cleaning, everything. I told her from now on you will be responsible for your tank. I have assigned satureday for fish tank cleaning day.
She was comcerned about the growing mollie population. So we sperated the males into the 15 high, and the females and babies into a ten gallon. When the babies get big enough we're going to take them to the LFS for store credit. The money we get for the fish will be hers to spend on her tank!!!!!

took up 3 whole hours! By the time 3pm rolled around she had had enough and asked to go play. I nodded and off she went. So while she played, I got to play in my horse tank and prepare the 45 gallon for the percs!!!!

My daughter is 2 and I bring her fishing with me from time to time. She saw me kiss a redfish before I released it and now when I catch a fish she wants to kiss them all. I brought her to the LFS and she wanted to kiss the fishes.

She's already begging for a salt tank. I told her not until she can take care of everything in her own tanks. That includes set ups, cleaning, water quality, the whole nine yards. Probably by the time she's 7, I have her start helping me with the perc tank.

hmmmm, more then u could ask of me, i did my own water changes for my lizards and snakes but i dont think i could figure out how to get a syphon goin then, hell i can barely do it now eight years later

I use a large cheap chip bag clips or heater holders with suctions cups to make sure it stays in the tank

I use a "phython", it hooks up to the kitchen .sink faucet for easy filling and draining :happyfish
