Is that not too much movement considering the fact that they are in an enclosed area?
I know the ocean is like that, but there is also not a glass box around them either.

It's a wavemaker that is hooked up to a Tunze stream right? I hope that it doesn't always do that, can you change the timing? Looks like an earthquake!!!

Tunze will supposedly have one on display this weekend at IMAC. I look forward to seeing it in person. I have two Stream 6000's with multicontroller on order for my new tank, but might consider the wavebox instead if I like what I see.

Great wave action, I don't like the fact that the water level has to be so low to compensate for the waves. Reminds me of a bucket surge without the buckets.

Just as a side thought...I would think you would have to be careful about your tank stand too. Kind of like chafe on a sailboat..all that rocking back and forth over a period of time and the littlest problem is bound to develop into a big one.. Construction-wise I would make darn sure it was all set to rock-an-roll...
The period on the videos seems to be a bit short in between waves, I don't know if the current is excessive, but from diving it seems that all that jostling is a bit much...
got to admit though..new technology is fun, the cost of it sure isn't...

I dont know if id be able to sleep at night. I'd think after a while the tank will just blow apart. That's allot of movement.

I was able to see the wavebox in action yesterday at IMAC set up on a 4' tank. The first video link is the most accurate depiction of what I saw, except the wave action was quicker in the 4' tank versus the 7' tank in the video. Roger, the Tunze representative, mentioned this is because there is only one frequency that will work with each tank, and shorter tanks have quicker wave movement (because of shorter wave travel). The only adjusting required is finding the frequency that works for the tank the box is mounted in. Roger also mentioned the Wavebox can be used in tanks as short as 30" and that the box creates multiple waves in tanks longer than 8'.
A few impressions I came home with: this thing moves a TON of water. The box isn't nearly as big as I expected it to be. I was considering the idea of using this in my upcoming reef (60"x24"x25"), but after seeing it in action and learning more about it's frequency response, I personally wouldn't put it on anything less than an 8' tank.
