Vids of Mantis in action

i found this great site a long time ago with some wonderful videos. you gotta register your name but there are some amazing videos of some creatures in the wild ive never seen before. i was amazed at the mantis shrimp attacking crabs and the mimic octupus as well under the invert section. anyway, the site is oceanfootage dot com. im not sure if i can post links here, but i wanna be safe.

those things are indeed freaky! look like puppets cleaning its hole out,lol

mantis are awesome predators. one of the fastest reaction times in the animal kingdom.
however, be carful with them in a tank. it is known that adult mantis shrimps are stong enough to break a dogs leg with their attack. they have also been know to break the glass on tanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
with that being said - they are still awesome to watch in action
