Viper Clip On Halide, Anyone have experience with these?

I have a 14G Oceanic BioCube. The actinic ballast went bad, so before I just replace the ballast, I'm looking into upgrading the lighting (because I have tax refund money to waste, LOL).
Anyways, the tank absolutely can not have a hanging light, there's nowhere for it to be hung from and we move this tank to different areas of the house. I haven't been able to find any clip on units that are short enough (the tank is only 15" wide) so I'm looking at the Viper Clip On Metal Halide.
Does anyone have any experience with these? Good? Bad? I'd probably put in a 20K bulb or a 14K Pheonix.

some people are having problems firing radiums on this light even though it has an electronic ballast,but my friend has the 14k it comes with on a frag tank and it works well

Did they change the ballast in newer models? Mine has a magnetic.
I have no complaints though.. the stock lamp is crap, but other than that mine has always worked fine for me.

I asked both people that bought them (used) 1 is magnetic and 1 is electronic but cant read brand name on the ballast
