Viper HQI Clamp Lamp

I am considering buying a 70 watt Viper HQI to go with my Dual 40 watt PC (80 watts total). What are your experiences with the Viper? (people that have actually bought it only, please) And has anyone found a price better than 177 with shipping?

Do not use these on an open tank. A friend and I both bought one at the same time. His clamp broke the day he got it. 5 months later i found mine floating in the fuge. Thank goodness the light was off at that time.

i had a 150 watt on my jbj 12 gallon and loved it . i went with the 150 watt because of the bulb choices i used the phoenix bulb they are awesome in my opinion. ..
