I will be vacationing in the VI in the next 2 weeks. I will be trying snorkling for the first time. Any recommendations of what I can bring back to my then 2-3mo estab tank that will be wanting some new inhabitants? Any NO NOs?

Bring back underwater pictures ... Dont try to bring anyting back ... Lave the reef the way it is. Also, security at the airport may not be too thrilled with it ... and bring back no pets if you do anything. There is no way theyd make it .. No way.

take only pictures and leave only bubbles!!
like mentioned, customes may not like it, and the reef should be left alone and undisturbed for hte next divers to follow.

ps, for snorkeling you cna get a decent underwater camera fairly inexpensively. there are several available for under 100 bucks and the major difference is the depth you can dive with it. most are rated 20 or more feet anyway.
have fun, it is awesome. and if you get a chance, try scuba, it is something you will never forget.

US or British V.I.? If it’s the USVI, I was there this past Nov. and you aren't allowed to take ANYTHING from the water or even stuff that's washed up on shore! They are very strict with that, so just enjoy the surroundings and take lots of pictures! :)
