Can anyone reccomend a good hotel to stay at in the Phoenix/Glendale Arizona area? Perhaps someplace close to shopping/nightlife? All help is appreciated.

A couple of summers ago we stayed in a place called the Camelback INN. It had nice rooms for the price and a large porch / balcony with a nice sized "yard". It was in Scottsdale which is about 20 minutes from the phoenix airport if i remember right. I dont know what kind of hotels you are used to staying in but i thought it was nice and would reccomend it.

In case you didn't know (which you probably did and should) Phoenix is one of the hottest cities on EARTH. Summer temperatures hit 110 on a daily basis and occasionally creep as high as 120. Winter lows usually don't dip below 60. The funny thing is, about 90 or so miles north where I used to live (Prescott) often gets several feet of snow in the winter.

true,
something kinda has to do with that is we went on some mountain that in about an hour you go from the 110 degree heat to 60 in the summer. Was pretty wild.

If youre going to Scotsdale, swing by Mickeys Hangover for a good time. Its pretty much there in the center of the "nightlife". My brother took me there when I visited him last Christmas. GOOD times.
